Art Competition

We are pleased to provide you and your students details about the 44th Annual Congressional Art Competition — An Artistic Discovery. We are hopeful that you will be willing to share these details with promising young student artists.
The Artistic Discovery Competition is voluntarily sponsored by individual Members of Congress, and we are pleased that to announce that Congressman Fitzgerald’s office plans to host a competition for student artists residing and/or attending school in Wisconsin’s 5th Congressional District. This Competition provides an opportunity for student artists to showcase their work, and it also gives the First Place Winner an opportunity to showcase their artwork at the United States Capitol Building in Washington, D.C. for one year.
You can access the necessary competitiondocuments and forms by visiting the Congressional Art Competition webpage at: https://www.house.gov/educators-and-students/congressional-art-competition
Our office has established a deadline of April 10, 2026 at 5:00pm CT for student art submissions.
The art competition is open to any student grades 9-12 (public, private or homeschool) who reside or attend school in the 5th Congressional District. There is no limit to teachers’ submissions, but we are restricted to one original piece per student. Each submitted piece needs to be mounted with a mat and include the student’s name and title on the back. Please contact our District Office to arrange a pick-up or drop off before the deadline at (262) 784-1111.
WI-05's District Art Show will take place April 23-26, 2026. At the District Art Show, members of the community can view artwork from the competition. Winners will also be announced at this time.
Should you have any questions or if you would like more information about the program, you are encouraged to call our District Office at (262) 784-1111 or submit the following form.
