It’s no secret the U.S. economy is in a fragile state. Record spending and overregulation here at home are fueling inflation, and coupled with destabilized global trade, have pushed our economy into a state of recession.

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Scott Fitzgerald (WI-05) introduced the FTC Commissioner Parity Act. This legislation aligns the FTC with every other federal regulatory commission by establishing firm limits on commissioners’ tenures.
“Under President Biden, the FTC has abused its power and commissioners have become unaccountable. This bill erects guardrails, limiting such abuse and reaffirms Congressional oversight of the agency, said Congressman Scott Fitzgerald."
WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Scott Fitzgerald (WI-05) sent bipartisan letters to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC), and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) regarding stolen intellectual property of Raffel Systems, a Germantown manufacturer, by Chinese corporation Man Wah Holdings. A product patent of Raffel Systems was disregarded, and their name was used in the production of faulty knockoff items to be sold in the United States, stealing business, and damaging the public reputation of the brand.
