WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Scott Fitzgerald (WI-05) and U.S. Senator Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) introduced the Pretrial Release Reporting Act to require the Department of Justice (DOJ) to issue a report to Congress within 180 days detailing information on individuals released on bail and pretrial release from state courts charged with violent felony offenses.

The subject of the hearing was rising violent crime and the failure of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg to protect public safety. Crime remains a top issue for voters across the country, particularly here in Wisconsin.

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, House Republicans passed H.R. 734, the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act, to protect female athletes and the integrity of women's sports.

This legislation protects female athletes' right to an even playing field in sporting events by ensuring athletic departments follow Title IX rules requiring the recognition of biological sex as determined by a person's reproductive biology and genetics at birth.
