Fitzgerald Votes to Hold Hunter Biden in Contempt of Congress

January 11, 2024

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Scott Fitzgerald (WI-05) voted to hold Hunter Biden in contempt of Congress in a House Judiciary Committee Markup this week. The resolution recommends the House of Representatives find Hunter Biden in contempt of Congress for his refusal to comply with a lawful subpoena.

“House Committee investigations have uncovered more than enough proof to warrant the deposition subpoenas we sent to Hunter Biden last month. Instead of cooperating—as mandated by the constitution—Hunter opted for a PR stunt in front of the Capitol and again this week at the contempt hearings on Capitol Hill,” said Rep. Fitzgerald. “Of course, he cowered and refused to take questions on both occasions. No one is above the law, and I was pleased to vote and see the contempt resolutions pass out of both the Judiciary and Oversight Committees.”
