Fitzgerald Statement on President Biden’s Second State of the Union Address

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Scott Fitzgerald issued the following statement in response to President Biden's State of the Union address:

"Tonight, President Biden confirmed what we already knew, his presidency is not based on reality. Although he painted a rosy picture of the current state of our country, Americans simply don't feel the same. More Americans than ever before feel worse off financially than before President Biden took office. 

While I had hoped to hear his vision of rebuilding our economic strength, restoring the public's trust in our government, and addressing the historic crisis at our southern border, we received nothing. Instead, he rambled on making empty promises, using feel-good platitudes, and smearing Republicans with false accusations.

The President is out-of-touch with the issues that matter most to the American people and tonight proved that once again, said Congressman Scott Fitzgerald."
