Fitzgerald Statement on President Biden’s One-Year Anniversary in White House

January 20, 2022

WASHINGTON, DC  Today, Congressman Scott Fitzgerald (WI-05) issued the following statement marking the one-year anniversary of President Joe Biden’s presidency:

“A year ago today, I stood on the scaffolding at our U.S. Capitol and listened to President Joe Biden make grandiose promises to unite our country. However, as we mark the President’s one-year anniversary today, we find America in a more perilous and divided state than ever before, falling woefully short of Joe Biden’s promises.

“Inflation is tracking at the fastest pace in four decades, thousands of public schools remain closed for in-person instruction, over 1.7 million illegal immigrants have been encountered at the southern border, and crime is reaching record highs in our communities. President Joe Biden has not yet offered one single solution to any of these growing crises, and I fear what’s in store for our country under the hapless leadership of this Administration."
