Fitzgerald Speaks with Prime Minister Netanyahu Following Letter Requesting a Joint Address to Congress

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Scott Fitzgerald (WI-05) released the following statement after having an opportunity to speak with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu about a Joint Address to Congress.

“I appreciate Prime Minister Netanyahu taking the time to field questions from us members while we were on a congressional visit in Israel, and I am encouraged to hear him agree to deliver a Joint Address to Congress. Congress must remain steadfast in our support of one of our greatest allies as Israel fights to defend itself against terrorism and bring home the hostages,” said Rep. Fitzgerald.

BACKGROUND 
Congressman Scott Fitzgerald led 50 members from the House Republican Conference to join a letter to Speaker Mike Johnson requesting that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu be invited to give a joint address to Congress.
